When you receive notification that an email has been opened, this technically means that the tracking pixel (that Mailtrack has added to your email) has been downloaded, which occurs 95% of the time because the email has been opened by the main recipient but can also happen for other reasons, such as your email being forwarded to other people (who do not use Mailtrack and so cannot be identified by our app), your email being bounced around different servers, or the recipient's mail service processing your email multiple times.
Unfortunately, as email tracking doesn't actually form part of an email protocol, it will never be 100% reliable and can sometimes result in some strange behaviors.
